Re: WW II ‘Assault the Village’

Lovely table and models and the ambush idea really gives interest and life to play, as well as being quite different. Enjoyed very much, thanks.

Fox Gap 1862 on a 6 x 5 grid!

The designer of the scenario has squeezed this scenario into a small space, so I took it for a spin.

Re: Battle of McDowell 1862

Thanks Paul, the situation of additional Confederate brigades feedinging into the battle seems to naturally drive the scenario in the right direction. The system does put emphasis on the attrition of units and the benefits of fresh units / reserves, which I think helps in this situation.

Battle of McDowell 1862

On the table, Kallistra 12mm ACW with Kallistra 4" hexes using my Two Flags - One Nation rules. The blog has notes on the scenario design and an AAR. While looking at the battle, I found a rather nice spreadsheet that showed unit strengths and the types of weapon they were using, links are in t...

Next Miniatures wargames mag showing Hexon.

The next issue of Miniature Wargames is carrying an article based upon my Tigers at Minsk hex based rules. The link below takes you to The Wargames Website page, just scroll down to the TaM article and you will be able to get a 2 page taster of what it is about - it has been done in 15mm and the pho...

Re: River sections

Very nicely done. Getting my water edges sorted is at the front on my queue. Your work is inspiring, as always.

ACW fight and rules update

Action at Mill Creek, another outing of my hex based ACW figure rules. I have spent the week doing a rules edit, so a few rule tweaks have cropped up. There is a blog post that discusses those tweaks and and gives a short AAR of the Battle for Mill Creek. Link http://battlefieldswarriors.blogspot.co...
