Farm and fields 6mm

This is an old piece, but I thought it may be of interest in showing a bespoke piece that is easy to make and store. The fields were from some matting that I bought at a show and have never seen since. Everything is just glued onto a blank base and the flock matches the standard ready flocked bases.

Re: Question about unit balance?

Point setting is difficult and the sort of thing that needs tweaking over time, but it is always helped by having restrictions placed on the composition of the force (as is the case with these rules). My own preference is for scenarios to be designed and then over a number of playings, modify them t...

I have added a brief overview of a re-run of that scenario before making changes, please see the last part of the post (under the sub-heading 'substantial edit'). I enjoyed the second game more than the first.

Re: 10mm WWII game, testing a Kursk based scenario

Thanks Dane. The rules are mostly done, they have been around for a few years in various guises, most recently as a DTP download to support a boardgame that used squares. This revision has taken them back to their figure / hex origins and moved some concepts forward, so the rules are quite tight and...

10mm game, home brew WWII rules

Sorry to cross post within the forum, but it seems this topic spans two boards that future interested parties might want to access. I have been writing rules to get a WWII tactical game into a small space (pinboard sized) and have made a post showing a Kursk scenario being playtested with the rules....

10mm WWII game, testing a Kursk based scenario

I have been working on a set-up to get a hex game into a small space (pinboard sized) using my own rules. Here is the first public outing of the figure version.

Re: Memoir44

Hello Graham, I went to a show last year where they were using Kallistra for M'44' they used red ribbon to divide the board up - it sounds too brash, but it actually looked quite good, probably because it was pulled tight and pinned under the wooden board. From memory, I think it was a multi player ...

Re: building's

Very good news. They do nice 15mm fencing, easy to put together and attractive and in lengths that fit with a Kallistra hex side, so hopefully they will do an early adoption of that for 10mm.

trees damaged by artillery and a field

The field has been formed onto a bare hex template (from Kallistra) and the trees are bits of twig hot glued onto a washer and then basing material added. The trees can be put together in stands to represent woodland that has been devastated by artillery, so ideal for WWI and WWII. This time of year...
