Battle of Hoth Star Wars rules

Here are a few simple Hex rule guides for playing the battle of Hoth with 6mm miniatures :) I may be bringing this one to Hammerhead next year?

Assault on Hoth

AT THE START OF EACH TURN AN EVENT CARD IS DRAWN TO DETERMIN WHAT, IF ANYTHING HAPPENS THAT TURN. EMPIRE THEN BEGINS WITH THE MOVEMENT PHASE FOLLOWED BY THE FIRE PHASE THEN THE REBEL PLAYER REPEATS BEFORE THE NEXT EVENT CARD IS DRAWN.


UNITS
INFANTRY – LIGHT/HEAVY X4 BASES PER UNIT. EACH BASE HAS X1 FIRE DIE AND X1 DAMAGE. WHEN X4 HITS INFANTRY UNIT IS DESTROYED
LASER TOWER - X2 FIRE DICE AND X2 DAMAGE BEFORE DESTROYED
LASER DISH – X1 FIRE DIE AND X1 DAMAGE BEFORE DESTROYED
SNOWSPEEDER – X2 FIRE DICE PLUS SINGLE SHOT HARPOON (1 HEX RANGE) X2 DAMGE BEFORE DESTROYED (SEE LUKE SPECIAL RULES)
ATAT - X4 FIRE DICE (REDUCE BY 1 FOR EACH DAMAGE TAKEN) X4 DAMAGE BEFORE DESTROYED
ATST - X2 FIRE DICE AND X2 DAMAGE BEFORE DESTROYED
SHIELD GENERATOR / POWER GRID /ION CANNON – X4 HITS BEFORE DESTROYED

MOVEMENT
INFANTRY – X4 HEXES. HALF MOVEMENT IF CROSSING A TRENCH OR ROUGH TERRAIN. X2 MOVEMENT POINTS WHEN DISEMBARKING FROM ATAT.
SNOWSPEEDER – X8 HEXES. CAN CROSS ROUGH TERRAIN WITH NO PENALTY.
ATAT – X2 HEXES
ATST – X4 HEXES
RANGES
LIGHT BLASTER – INFANTRY WEAPON X4 HEXES
HEAVY BLASTER – ALL OTHER WEAPONS X8 HEXES
HARPOON – X1 HEX

FIRE CHART
LIGHT BLASTER – NO EFFECT ON SHIELD GENERATOR / POWER GRID / ION CANNON / ATAT / SNOWSPEEDER
NEED 12 TO HIT ATST OR LASER DISH
NEED 7+ TO HIT INFANTRY UNIT
HEAVY BLASTER –
NEED 10+ TO HIT SNOWSPEEDER
NEED 9+ TO HIT ATST
NEED 8+ TO HIT ATAT OR LASER TOWER
NEED 7+ TO HIT INFANTRY UNIT OR LASER DISH
NEED 6+ TO HIT SHIELD GENERATOR / POWER GRID / ION CANNON
(LORD VADER CAN BEGIN LANDING WHEN SHIELD GENERATOR IS DESTROYED)
HARPOON – NEEDS 12 TO HIT, IF HIT ATAT OR ATST IS DESTROYED

FIRE MODIFIERS
LUKE HAS +2 WHEN FIRING (LUKES SNOWSPEEDER IDENTIFIED UNDER BASE, ONLY REBEL PLAYERS KNOW WHICH IS LUKES SNOWSPEEDER. IF DESTROYED LUKE CRASHES AND CAN MOVE ON FOOT)
-1 IF DEFENDER IS IN TRENCHES

VICTORY!

REBEL VICTORY – IF REBELS EVACUATE X5 TRANSPORTS OR DESTROYS ALL ATTACKING IMPERIAL TROOPS THEN VICTORY FOR THE REBELLION

EMPIRE VICTORY – IF IMPERIAL TROOPS DESTROY SHIELD GENERATOR , POWER GRID AND THE ION CANNON OR DESTROYS ALL REBEL DEFENDING TROOPS THEN VICTORY FOR THE EMPIRE.

Nice and concise with good variation. I like the idea that Luke’s craft for the modifier is only known to the rebels, that should bring some fun.
