Hi,
The 'point v flat' debate has been raging for many years within the hex gaming community. After 25 years of hex gaming with miniatures I am firmly in the point facing camp, although there are certainly periods such as WW1 and 2 in which I still favour flat facing of vehicles etc.

The latest edition of the Hordes and Heroes system, which we have promised to release ready for autumn 2022, uses point facing apart from when units face off against each other in combat, and a couple of other minor exceptions. The straight lines produced using point facing is the key advantage over the 'flat' alternative.
